Marvel Girl 1 by NickSchley Marvel Girl 1 by NickSchley
This is a cover for Marvel Girl #1. Not really much to speak of on my end. Cruz has been doing this angular style as of late so i just fell in tow tried to beef it up here and there. However...Mr. Chris Sotomayor blew this betty up... Totally kicked her in the face with awesome...AND a chainsaw...

Love how it turned out so i thought i'd post the colors as well.

Pencils: Roger Cruz
Inks: Me
Colors: Chris Sotomayor

Marvel Girl Copyright Marvel.

Its nice to see Roger do something original.

My introduction to his work was a couple years of line-for-line swipes stolen from Jim Lee and Joe Mad on the X-men.

He was something of a legend on the old Genesis comics "swipe of the week" blog.

Word. Cruz is a phenominal artist. He did have his bouts with the Mad stuff.

I love this series of covers i inked Roger on for Xmen First Class. 2 More are coming as soon as i'm allowed to show em.

thanx,

This is one of the more palatable pieces of his more abstract style. You knocked this right out the park Nick! Soto ain't too shabby . . .
